He believes that the world is dramatically getting over populated and will make the world fall apart. He also believes that as technology advances we must not get too comfortable. Instead, we should keep on learning on what we built so we can master it. Lastly, he talks about drugs. He is talking about how these drugs can change a person and soon they will find more dangerous drugs.

I believe that we are totally heading in the direction of Adolous Huxley’s points in the Brave New World. Drugs have been a problem in society for so long, but the problem has gone up in the past couple of years. Drugs are being glorified throughout various sources including songs, social media, even through kids and teenagers at school. People are also on anti-depressants, anti-anxiety medications, different kinds of tranquilizers. Various drugs are quickly becoming normalized and very popular. Also, society is making it seem as if happy is the only emotion you can feel. This makes more and more people use the drugs to contain or prevent any other emotion.
ReplyDeleteThe media is also taking control of peoples lives. Some people can’t go 30 minutes without checking their phone. We take up our spare time by placing a device in front of our face for hours to replace our bordem. This definitely causes problems within people’s mental health. We experience things online that messes us up or even just spending so much time can affect us mentally. With social media comes technology. Different technology has been created and continues to be improved throughout the years. Cell phones, computers, printers, vehicles, software, etc. There’s prosthetic for people who need them. Pretty soon there will be real human arms with flesh and bones being created for a human. There’s operations for blind people who can make them see again or at least help them.
I believe that we are heading towards the Brave New World. Adolous Huxley made a point about everyone's freedom which cause us going to the direction of less and less freedom which this cause to push away from freedom and more importantly, people want to focus more on overpopulation. This was an extraordinary thing because this never happen in history before. In the past, Hitler has used high advanced technology during battle. Technology cause the change of social condition and it makes people that didn't want feel like doing something. Television, cellphones, and other technology cause too much distraction for us up to this day. This also cause people have bad eyesight like me. Drugs are very popular because it can change us from the way we are. While people have depression, they use the drugs to make themselves feel better, but in the inside, your lungs are in dangerous which cause you to slowly die like my grandpa did.
ReplyDeleteHe believes that technology will advance as time passes , and it is. Many of us can’t go a small amount of time with out looking at our phones we all have that temptation in which it makes us want to look at it everytime it makes a sound . It keeps us from paying attention,I also believe that drugs have advanced now all teens do is sell and use them , which has become a problem to society. It has become a problem because they get addicted to it and think about it .

ReplyDeleteI think we are going well into huxley’s vision of a brave new world. We are getting to over populated well to the point we’re china put a law where a household can only have one child, and two if one othe parents is a only child. We are also being brainwashed and don’t even know it. Those commercials that we see on our devices is just there to distract us from what’s really going on. And drugs do make people happy, natural drugs like THC and DMT as a way to free the mind and not be a product of there environment.
In this video I heard that the three worst things were propaganda, media, and drugs.
ReplyDeleteIn commercials made people dumb. It made them not thing or do something from themselves and they would believe everything that they see. Drugs are something that are medication or for smoking marijuana or any other types of drugs.Propaganda is where you get information but its not always true. For example Donald Trump he says he is doing everything for the better of his people but its not even true. And people just believe it. I do agree with Aldous too because what he says is so true with ways is going on right now.
Three things that in the video are bad that Aldous said was media, drugs, and propaganda. Even though it was hard to understand what he was saying he did not agree with all of these 3 things. Media is something that does keep you to update, but if you are in technology all day there is a possibility that can cause you to be dumb. Drugs are something that people use such as medication or smoking marijuana or other types of drugs. Now for propaganda, a good example is Donald Trump. People might not know what is actually going on and people just go with it. I agree with Aldous too because that's the true about all of this.

ReplyDeleteAnother point he made was how society was going to fall into drugs, i thinl he is right because mostly everybody in this world are doing drugs and now there is even a drug that is legal to consume.
Aldous Huxley believes that the world is getting overpopulated. He believes that the overpopulation is limiting our freedom. He also believes that technology is take our lives over. Technology will change the way we communicate. He wants us to not to stay put, but to keep on learning from the technology so we can keep getting better.

ReplyDeleteAldous huxley stated that there is overpopulation and technology leading us to lose our freedom. Overpopulation causes less food and this leads to us having to work more to have enough for everybody. This will have people trapped in their work and not really have as much freedom. Technology can be used in different ways that positively or negatively impact our lives and the way we think.
ReplyDeleteIn this video Aldous makes comments saying propagando ,overpopulatiom and the increse of drugs were part of the new world. I Believe were in the new world today the population and in today has increase alot. Another thing he says is propaganda as in today propaganda is used for everything you see it all over TV when a new phone comes out a new car style or even a house tool .He also comments about the increase of drug use this is very true in today's world as drugs are now more accessible to the young and are even easier to use. I agree with his prediction and say that as of today we are part of the new world
ReplyDeleteAldous Huxley believes that we are heading to a Brave New World because in an interview he states that the world will take in overpopulation. Every person is different in the way they think because of the experiences they’ve had or of what they’ve heard. When it comes to being free in what you think, some people might get offended. The community says to be yourself and part of being yourself is being able to speak what you think and what you do. Huxley says that people will start taking drugs because they want to feel happy. Drugs makes it seem as if it does but you end up getting attached to them like nothing else you have. The state of mind is changed, the habits, the emotions.
ReplyDeleteHuxley says that technology will have a major impact in the community that we live in. Today’s world it is true. We have it on us, to our surroundings, at home, school, where isn’t it. He believes technology will change social connection with one another. It will a distraction, change relationships. Distraction is seen today in classrooms when anyone want to check their phone. The relationships are ruined when all you want to do to message. We are in the Brave New World.
Aldous states that the population is over expanding in the world. He also talked about the most organized party is the Communist. He suggested to practice death control instead of birth control. The most advance techonology to diminish humans will be Hitlers’. He says that as technology expands it will be more necessary and an organization.
ReplyDeleteIn my opinion he has a little fear of technology and here is my understanding why. As we move forward in life as human beings we are making more and better technology such as the touch screen phone. Already as of today we can see everywhere that we look that people are addicted to their phones which is why there are ads,billboards, etc. about texting and driving and even walking. I'm a high school student and yet I always see someone on their phone whether its walking or staying still. I believe that this was one of his fears of the upcoming world that we now live in. Our world, the way we live with technology, how addicted we are to the gaming,social media, etc. is all that Huxley was afraid of.
ReplyDeleteAnother thing Huxley was afraid of was propaganda. Now let's elaborate on what exactly propaganda is. It's basically to manipulate someone into thinking one right or something like that. This is exactly what is happening in today's society and you can literally see it everywhere. Everyone wants to be popular, the cool kid, that one person everyone knows. Why? It's all because of propaganda. People today believe that they have to act a certain way and be a certain person. In some ways ya like business stuff ya you have to look and act professional in order to get whatever it is you need. However when we're on social media or out in public we feel like we have to be a certain way and dress a certain way. Lets take a fancy dinner date for example. The Male is suppose to open the door for a women, pay the bill, and drive the women home. The female has to look sexy, be polite, and let the man do everything. We are taught to be a certain way and that is a form of propaganda that people don't notice is happening.
Huxley's last concern (that I noticed) was overpopulation. Well overpopulation is bad just be the definition. It could cause for serious diseases to spread rapidly, food shortages, and less housing. With a lot of mouths to feed it's hard to feed them all when you can only produce a certain amount and that's not even considering the fact that some eat for than others. Housing would also be a problem because there is only so much land the world has and even less space for the that each country has and yet with overpopulation that could lead to clumping huge amount of people together. Diseases spread at a certain speed that depends on what kind disease it is. However if there was to be overpopulation they apudl only have the chance of spreading more quickly which would cause there to be more medications which means less supplies for other needs. These 3 reasons are my understanding of Huxley's worries.
We are living in the new brave world as huxley mention, because it is a world where everyone want to use technology and by using technology we distract everybody and we can't focus on the thing we need to focus on. Most of the time we don't use technology in a proper way that it could help us and most of the time it becomes a problem using technology because sometimes we become obsessed we the technology and for a moment we can't stop using technology. Drugs are the other thing that Huxley talked about and drugs are a big problem in this world because most people use drugs to not face their reality and they harm themselves by using drugs. Drugs cause people to die more often and each time more people are in danger to drugs because they might get in a depression and they might use drugs to feel better.
ReplyDeleteFrom the interview of Aldous Huxley over life in the brave new world he explains how life has changed us due to population, media/propaganda and drug addiction. In his interview he explains how population has had a rapid increase throughout the generations. Compared to now there is a huge growth of people all around the world which has lead the government to take a bigger responsibility. Between us and the media/propaganda now as of television it seems that we have been brainwashed from what we see on television like for example the advertisements that are being published. Over organization in technology has brought a great amount of people to start using technology. It seems that we have an drug addiction to what we have now. This type of addiction is also within drugs and the technical use that have been invented.
