JOURNAL TOPIC:
In Brave New World, Linda is attacked by
women who are protective of their relationships with men and see her as a
threat. As we read earlier in the exchange between Fanny and Lenina,
there is no such thing as monogamy or emotional commitment in the World
State-- the women are upset because they live on the Reservation. How
would you describe relationship values in American culture in 2019? Do
people believe in monogamy and emotional commitment, or being intimate
with multiple partners, or ...? Please explain your answer.
